Good Touch Day edition by Sandra Roberts Ros Webb Children eBooks

During a classroom discussion about touch, Frederick repeats something he hears his parents say, "If everyone received the power of touch, the world would be a much better place!" These words spark a turn of events that show how something bad can also be good.
Good Touch Day weaves a story of safe touch and massage therapy. It is a resource for teaching all ages the value of good touch and the power of using healing hands to make a difference in the world.
There is currently no other book on the market that introduces children to a health career in massage therapy.

Frederick, a child-scholar, succumbs to his urge to speak out to add a positive balance to a heavy discussion in his classroom. What follows in Good Touch Day, by Sandra A. Roberts, is a delightful story honoring parents, teachers, students and massage therapists. I am so pleased Sandra A. Roberts raised her voice to fill a void with this positive book about healing touch. I've already purchased four copies and I know I will be gifting more.Product details

Good Touch Day edition by Sandra Roberts Ros Webb Children eBooks Reviews
Love love love this book! It tackles a topic that is very tough to speak about especially with children but at the same time also differentiates positive appropriate touch from bad touch while also introducing kids to the occupation of massage therapy. Brilliantly combined subjects and the added bonus illustrating different body muscles at the end is a fav. Great job Ms. Roberts!
This book is fabulous for teaching children about massage in the context of good touches. It is geared toward elementary school children, since some pages have longer paragraphs. I'd love to see a future edition have the long paragraphs broken up across a few pages so the book could be more preschool accessible.
What a great book to introduce children and adults alike to a contrasting view of good and bad touching. With such a focus on ensuring children are aware of the possible dangers of the world, as a society we are distancing ourselves further from the healing powers of touch. Good Touch Day by Sandra Roberts addresses this head on with a lighthearted story about Frederick teaching his fellow elementary school "child-scholars" about his parents' job as massage therapists. The idea of a "Good Touch Day" is an excellent idea for individuals to begin to appreciate the power of touch. While this book is not about race, I appreciate the presence of African Americans as the main characters in this story. A surprising treat in the back of the book is a diagram of a human body pointing out various muscles that receive therapeutic touch from massage therapist. This is a must for parents of elementary school age children to address this difficult conversation.
Good Touch Day touched my heart! This well written book offers a positive balance to a difficult topic. Thank you, Sandra A. Roberts, for combining your talents as an educator and healing arts therapist. I look forward to your next book.
This is such a great book for me to open up a discussion of touching with my G-Son. The vibrant illustrations made it inviting for my 6 year olds mind. I'm going to send some copies to friends with young children in the family. I enjoyed reading and sharing this book.
In Good Touch Day, Sandra A. Roberts uses her teaching experience to explain her massage therapist career. Although, the intended audience is children, it’s a great read for adults as well. It’s covers areas such as classroom settings, family, and career. Good Touch Day is a feel-good book. I recommend it for anyone that is interested in understanding the power of message or how to explain it to children.
I simply love this book! It's educational, the subject is new and refreshing, and it's SO positive! WHAT I LOVE MOST is that it showcases a healthy, happy, educated, entrepreneur couple of COLOR! Yay Sandra!
